| System Requirements for Internet Access to Valley Forge Asset Management Online For best results, your browser
should be one of the following:
Microsoft® Internet Explorer version 4.0
or newer. Click on the icon to go to the site where you
can download for free the latest version of Internet Explorer.
You can also order Internet Explorer upgrade software from
Microsoft by calling 1-800-485-2048. Microsoft offers 90-day
support when you upgrade your browser. The number for Microsoft
support is 1-425-454-2030, from 6am to 6pm EST.
Netscape
NavigatorTM version 4.0 or newer. Click on the icon to go to the site
where you can download the latest version of Netscape.
America Online (AOL)SM version
4.0 or later. To download the latest version, go to Keyword: 128Browser or
you can click on the AOL icon to go to their site where you can download the latest
version. If you have trouble downloading, please contact America Online Customer
Service by calling 1-800-771-8267.
- Other browsers that have the
same functionality and support as provided by Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or newer can
be used.
Note: When
downloading any of the above browsers, if given the option, choose the 128 bit Strong
Encryption version over the 40 bit Standard Encryption version. The 128 bit versions
provide added security.
The browser vendor may have
recommendations for maintenance releases within the specific version to provide full
functionality.
Recent versions of other
browsers, such as those from AOL, may also work. This is not guaranteed by Valley Forge
Asset Management. Macintosh users require browser functionality similar to the Windows
version.
The browser must support
"cookies," and this feature must be enabled to maintain secure control of your
data while you access Valley Forge Asset Management Online. Non-graphics (text-only)
browsers are not supported by the application.
The browser determines
operating-system and hardware requirements for your computer. Some features of the
supported browsers may not be available on Windows version 3, for example.
Minimum Guidelines
- Microsoft Windows 95
- A Pentium-class processor
with 16 MB RAM
- 50 to 100 MB of free disk
space for the browsers temporary work files
- At least a 28.8K modem for
Internet connection
A Macintosh system should
be of comparable capacity and performance.
Browser performance with
less-capable hardware will be marginal.
As with all Web
applications, performance will vary with Internet traffic loads and usage patterns.
